Garrett graduated from Illinois State University with a double major in economics and agribusiness. While in school Garrett spent a little over 3 years at ATI on the night desk and as an office support assistant.

Upon graduation, Garrett moved to St. Louis and worked at Consolidated Grain & Barge for 5 years, rising to the position of Senior Merchandiser. There he merchandised for CGB’s largest volume river facility and assisted in origination and logistics for their Mid-South region. In 2021, Garrett moved to Bruce Oakley in St. Louis to successfully start up their new Cahokia, IL river loading facility. There, as Regional Manager of Grain, he was involved in all aspects of the trading, origination, and operations of their grain flows. Garrett brings with him his knowledge of the river system, export markets, and grain merchandising experience.

Garrett resides in the Bloomington-Normal area with his wife and young daughter. He is an avid sports fan, and in his free time he enjoys being outdoors and hunting at their land in Southern Illinois.
